General Information About Our Recruiting Process

Your Application:
To apply for our HS24 positions, we request an application video and your CV by the application deadline May 12th. Please create an application video where you introduce yourself and answer one of the following questions (max. 3min).

  • What does our slogan "Be The Change" mean to you? And how do you generate said change in your everyday life?

  • Tell us about a sustainability topic you are passionate about and how you are planning on having a positive impact in this project/area/topic.

Recruiting Day
If you impressed us with your application we will invite you to our Recruiting Day, which is scheduled for May 16th.
This will be an assessment day filled with activities such as a group case study, a discussion, and an individual interview.
Following the Recruiting Day you will be informed about our decision in the next week.

Consultant

As a member of Student Impact (SI), you will actively drive positive change with other dedicated students as part of the SI community. 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Market Research: Delve into public sources and conduct external interviews to gather data and insights.

  • Business Analysis: Examine the inner workings of client organizations to understand their strengths, challenges, and areas of opportunity.

  • Innovative Collaboration: Team up with colleagues to brainstorm, ideate, and evolve sustainable concepts and actionable solutions.

  • Presentation Design: Craft compelling presentations that encapsulate findings and recommendations.

  • Engaging Delivery: Confidently present findings and concepts to clients, ensuring clarity and actionable takeaways.

  • Enrolled at the University of St. Gallen (assessment year, any bachelor’s or master’s program)

  • Personal interest in sustainability and consulting (no previous experience necessary)

  • Motivation to learn and openness to reflect

  • Authenticity, a strong team-player attitude, and a spirit to be part of our community

  • Fluent professional English and conversational German in social settings

  • Willingness to engage for at least two semesters, starting HS24

  • 16-20 hours of work per week during the lecture period

Project Leader

As a member of Student Impact (SI), you will actively drive positive change with other dedicated students as part of the SI community.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of five to six consultants, alongside a Co-Project Leader and under the guidance of a Project Partner.

  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of a consulting project, ensuring delivering on client needs by managing project planning, organizing tasks, and maintaining quality standards.

  • Conceptual Design: Answer the client’s problem by conceptualizing the project content and guiding the consulting team, providing input on research and analysis.

  • Client Management: Actively manage your client relationships, leading presentations and meetings to ensure constructive collaboration.

  • Team Development: Provide guidance to your consultants, facilitating their consulting skill development, creating opportunities for growth, and fostering a close-knit team dynamic.

  • Enrolled in a Master's degree or PhD program at the University of St. Gallen

  • Personal interest in sustainability and consulting

  • Motivation to learn and openness to reflect

  • Authenticity, a strong team-player attitude, and a spirit to be part of our community

  • Fluent professional English and conversational German in social settings

  • Willingness to engage for at least two semesters, starting HS24

  • 18-22 hours of work per week during the lecture period

Community Engagement Manager

As a member of Student Impact (SI), you will actively drive positive change with other dedicated students as part of the SI community.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning: Organize community-building events to foster a positive team culture.

  • Campus Collaboration: Partner with other clubs for joint events, from parties to sports matches.

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with event vendors and venues.

  • Trip Coordination: Organize our onboarding weekend and our team trip, ensuring a mix of fun, team bonding, and memorable experiences.

  • Culture Champion: Drive a community spirit with fun and creative initiatives.
